'Double Identity' Story Code '65001' by Donald P. Bellisario

8th November 1965: Sam leaps into a Mafia hitman named Francesco ‘Frankie’ La Palma - and finds that he has just had sex with an attractive woman called Teresa. The two of them are guests at the wedding of Theresa’s friend Angela and Frankie’s brother, and when Sam is called upon to give a rendition of ‘Volare’, it is up to Al to help him out. Meanwhile, Teresa’s jealous ‘boyfriend’, Don Geno Frascati, is furious that his woman is sleeping around, and he puts a contract out on her unknown lover’s head. Sam must juggle the tasks of romancing Teresa, keeping the Godfather happy and staying alive whilst carrying out a set of odd instructions given to him by Project Quantum Leap’s eccentric computer, Ziggy. This soon results in the Great East Coast Blackout – and Sam leaping into the body of the Godfather himself…
